Christmas Eve Comes To Wolf Peak Territory by Savanna Kougar

The Merriest of Howlidays, ShapeShifter Lovers!

This year, Reindeer shapeshifters take center stage. The children adore them, of course. Zeth, who is one them, is the hero in my Christmas short story romance WIP. He’ll be giving sleigh rides to the always-enthusiastic children of Moonrise Lake.

As a member the Guardian Team, Zeth will also be protecting everyone in Wolf Peak Territory this year. ‘Cause there’s a bad Santa hombre on the way with nine cloned reindeer, and a big bag of bio-plague designed to kill off the shifter population.

The Viking Santa Arrives In the Peak
Twas the night before Christmas, when all through my home
Only I was stirring, to pen my romance tome.
My best black silk stockings were hung, ready to wear,
In hopes, my miracle Santa stud would soon be here.
The pets are nestled all snug in their places,
With visions of holiday treats making them run dream races.
Their mamma has just slipped into her red lace teddy,
And is settling her brains to continue writing her fantasy.
When out on the lawn I hear such a loud clatter,
I spring up from my desk to see what is the matter.
Away to the window I trot in my boa-trimmed slippers
To take a peek through the curtains. Oh no, is that drunk Mrs. Kippers?
The full moon shines on icy slush, instead of new-fallen snow
Giving a natural spotlight to celebrating Mrs. Kippers below.
Yet, what to my wondering gaze does appear?
But an old-fashioned sleigh, and eight majestic reindeer.
With a Viking driver, so handsomely tall and magnificent,
I knew in a moment I must be dreaming this whole event.
More rapid than jets, his stags flew the midnight sky untamed,
His long mane blew wild as he shouted, and called them by name!
“Now Dasher! now, Dancer! now, Prancer and Vixen!
On, Comet! On, Cupid! soar on Donner and Blitzen!
Fly to the top of each roof! Above the city walls!
Now race higher and faster! And sail over all!”
As autumn leaves that before the approaching blizzard fly,
When they meet with a whirlwind and spiral to the sky.
So up to my rooftop, the brown and white stags they flew,
With a sleigh full of glittering gifts, and Viking Santa too.
And then, after a blinking of my eyes, I heard on the roof
The precise landing, then the pawing of each jingle-belled hoof.
As I drew in my dreaming head, and spun around,
Down my fake chimney the Viking arrived, with an impressive bound.
He was splendidly dressed in red and faux fur, down to his boots,
And his garments remained perfect, despite all the ashes and soot.
A bundle of shiny presents he had flung behind his back,
And he looked like a romantic hero as he dashingly opened his pack.
His darkening eyes, how they naughtily twinkled! And at his dimples I gawk!
His features are sternly carved, reminding me of a beautiful proud hawk!
His full sexy mouth slowly turns upwards, a knowing grin,
As I continue to stare like a vixen at his strong virile chin.
With a saunter he approaches, making me weak in the knees.
His searing gaze travels the length of my body. And I freeze.
Without a word his powerful arm captures my pliant waist.
Crushing the lace against my skin, he has me tightly embraced.
Oh, how stalwart he feels, his muscles like hot heated ropes
And I sigh, then softly pant as I give free rein to my hopes.
His half-lidded gaze takes in my face, then settles on my parted lips
While his palms slide in a caress and boldly seize my hips.
“Oh, Santa,” I softly exhale, before his mouth claims mine in a torrid kiss.
“Wear those black silk stockings,” he rasps. “I promise bliss
When I return from leaving presents beneath every sparkling tree.”
After plundering my eager mouth with another kiss, he spins from me.
I hear him spring to his sleigh, to his stags give a fierce long shout,
Then, from my window I watch them depart like a meteor flaming out.
Still, I hear him exclaim, as he disappears from my sight,
“Happy Christmas to all, and to my gorgeous woman, leave on the light!”

Wintry Christmas Scenes In Wolf Peak Territory by Savanna Kougar

Christmas Wintry Howls and Yowls, ShapeShifter Lovers.
Above is the Christmas Card my wonderful sister sent. I love it.!
I hope your holiday season is merry and beautiful.
Most of us need hope and goodness at this point in time, the end of 2018.
That’s one reason I am currently writing a Christmas ShapeShifter Romance short story, as I’ve talked about in the past two posts.
Celebrating Christmas, the holiday season, is a very festive and loving time in the small town of Moonrise Lake. Everyone is included, shifters of every type and stripe, supernaturals of all kinds, and yes, humans with their own special powers. Humans know how to LOVE. And that is prized by All  in the Peak.
As my heroine, Karyssa, learns early on Wolf Peak Territory is a survival community. ‘Course, she has no clue yet that she’s surrounded by shapeshifters who created their own self-sufficient world simply to protect themselves from numerous, highly dangerous enemies–to survive and thrive…and yes, to enjoy life as they raise their families.
“Not worried, Karyssa. I’m a wealthy man.” He’d pointedly told her, not to impress, but to witness her reaction.
“Oh, I see.” She avoided his gaze. “I still want to pay…pay my own way.”
“Of course,” he answered in an offhand manner. “I respect anyone who works for a livin’, pays their own way.”
Standing, he offered his hand. Her blue-blood breeding took over before she could deny it. Karyssa accepted his assistance like the lady she’d been trained to be all of her life.
Realizing it, she flushed. Yet didn’t deny him by jerking her hand away. “From what I’ve seen so far, it seems like most people here are wealthy enough.”
“We don’t allow poverty here in town, or in the whole of Wolf Peak Territory. There’s always a skill we encourage, or a job for anyone in need.
“Truth is, Karyssa,” he continued, walking her out of the room, “there is a massive subterranean structure that’s been built for years now. Inside is every type of business, shop, restaurant. I bet you’d like the Midnight Stardust supperclub. Dancin’, fine eats, swing band music, singers.”
“Are you saying this is an enormous survival community?” She paused her steps, gazing up at him.

White Tiger Santa Claws Is Next At the Magical Forest Bakery by Savanna Kougar

One of the Many Cowboys In Wolf Peak Territory …

A Merry Howling Yowling Christmas, ShapeShifter Lovers.

I’ve been working on a short story set in Wolf Peak Territory, in the small town of Moonrise Lake, during the holiday season. KNOCK ON WOOD, I’ll be able to continue and complete this Christmas ShapeShifter Erotic Romance. I think I’m on Chapter Six…

Anyway, here’s the opening lines, so far … given everything is subject to change… the heroine, who is escaping an arranged marriage situation back East, has found herself in Moonrise Lake, rescued by a bright light showing her the way out of a thick frosty fog… yep, kinda like Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer … ~smiles~

“It’s like a Christmas fairytale,” Karyssa whispered to herself. Stunned, enchanted beyond belief by the small town’s festive transformation, she paused to drink in the holiday fantasy scene.

Would You Sit On Santa Wolf Claws Lap? by Savanna Kougar

Howliday Greetings, Shapeshifter lovers,

So, a short post today. Ever been followed by about thirty head of young Angus cattle? My neighbor rents out our pastures and he let a whole bunch of his cow critters graze in the west side pasture. Anyway, as I trekked down to the rural mailbox, the cows must have decided I had something good for them to eat because suddenly they all gathered at the fence. Looking very expectant, this large group followed me partway. Truth to divulge, it was kinda scary because there were so many of them. ‘Course, I told them I had nothing good to give them. Then, if that wasn’t unsettling enough, on the way back up the half-mile drive, a bull in the neighbor’s pasture was throwing a fit, sort of. He sounded as though he was growling. And he’d make these high-pitched bellows. He didn’t look all that friendly, I can tell you. What did I do? I growled loudly at him like I’ve learned to do…works on some dogs. And hey, if there’s a possible intruder I could easily be mistaken for a vicious dog. In fact, I’ve stopped coyotes from howling by making loud dog sounds. Strange, huh? Yeah, life on my tame prairie.

Anyhoo, I began Christmas-themed short story set in Moonrise Lake, the small town in Wolf Peak Territory. *KNOCK ON WOOD* I’m successful in writing it. Okay, the heroine, new to town, is offered a job at the Magical Forest Bakery. Lady Clarice is the owner and she is having various Santas — for the children — take turns as animal Santa Claws — the first one being a wolf, or a real wolf shifter. However, our heroine doesn’t know that… she simply believes it’s a very clever Hollywood costume.

But say you were passing through Moonrise Lake, and you followed the delicious smells to the bakery. There, inside the gingerbread-looking shop is — LO AND BEHOLD — a Wolf Santa Claws giving out treats to the children. They’re sitting on his lap having a fun giddy time… what would you do? Join in the merriment or…?
